I found this on technipages.com.It can be quite usefull for people who
cannot get rid off the AVG Search Extension because the uninstall button
is greyed out.To work arround this problem navigate to :


- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mozilla\Firefox\Extensions\


Find the extention here in the right pane labeled :

Delete this entry.


The article states the Safe Search plug-in was then removed from Fire Fox 3.
