It can happen that you cannot uninstall the McAfee VirusScan.If you have tried
everything possible before (as happened with me with the McAfee HIP as i
was facing several error messages,could even not delete any keys.
The service locked them.I had to uninstall it step by step manually.

I found the necessary information to this on the McAfee help site.
So this seems helpfull as last resort for Virus Scan uninstall issues as well.
