You can force the current user to use a classical styled Start Menu.
To force a Classic Start Menu navigate to:

- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft
\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Create or modify in the right pane the entry:

NoSimpleStartMenu

If you need to create it rightclick in the right pane.Pick new ,
REG_DWORD [Dword Value] and name it as mentioned above.

Doubleclick the entry and set It's value to 1 to force classsic menu
or to 0 to leave it default.


This could require a restart.
