You can disable the Reading Layout Mode in Word 2003.To live with this
option navigate along the path below :


- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft
\Office\11.0\Word\Options\vpref\


You may need to create the keys from Microsoft below.To do so right click on
the Microsoft key , new , name the key Office.Now right click the Office
subkey and repeat the procedure just name the new subkey 11.0 .
Repeat this until you have created the vpref subkey.

Now select the vpref subkey and create in the right pane a new
DWORD entry (right click in right pane , new , DWORD [DWord Value] )
and name it as below :


fAllowAutoReadingMode_1886_1


The value of this entry should be 0
